Chakra/Speed Difference?

Postby Noctisaura » Wed Jan 27, 2010 11:59 am

My vampire is still figuring out the most effective way to feed from me and I'm still figuring out the most effective way to donate for both him and me (beyond basics like general health and sleepy levels). Often, because our schedules are bloody nuts, we're stuck having him nom in a public place, and we have to figure out ways to let him do it without screaming the action. Three times, he was attempting to take the energy from a smaller chakra in my wrist. Unfortunately, that left me feeling like I had the psychic equivalent of a slit wrist that was leaking. When he did it one time and took it quickly, it really knocked me sideways, and he had to replace the energy he took. It was not that much fun for the rest of the day. It seems to work better when he takes it from a major one, like a throat chakra, and also seems to work better when he goes slowly. My question is, does placement of chakra make a difference? How about speed? I mean, assuming he's taking about the same amount each time, would it matter as much if I lost the energy quickly, or came out of a smaller exit? I'm sort of versed in the basics of energy work (I can feel it, and move it around, and I shield), but I don't know a lot about chakras and the like. Thanks a lot for your help.

I wish I could give an exact answer as to what would work best for both of you, but as always, it's not that simple. As the script goes, no one is the same and different things have a different effect on people. BUT, if for some reason everyone where the same this is the advice I would give. I would sugest starting with pulling slowly from a larger chakra. Firstly, your body probably isn't used to donating, and taking a lot, quickly could leave your system crying and wondering wtf just happened. Also, pulling quickly from a small chakra just doesn't seem right. Don't beat the little guy up, he's just not built for that. If slowly from a large chakra works well for the both of you, try picking up the pace a little during the next feeding. let him pull a little faster. Though I saw that, I think it's important to know that pulling large amount of energy in a very short period of time isn't very good for anyone, even for seasoned donor. In all, even though you are in public places, don't rush. Take it slow until you both know that it's working. Don't rush with, "OK FEED FROM HERE HURRY GO!" It never ends well, and it doesn't seem to be working for you either. I hope this was at least slightly helpful and not just me blabbering. If not, then I'd be happy to try again.
girl, don't make me cut you.

what gabrielle said is good advice, i'd just like to address the feeling of leaking from a slit wrist. i have found that some vampires, in particular ones who don't have much experience, might actually leave you leaking from where they fed. in bad cases one might lose as much energy from such a leak as from the donation itself.

if you are able to work with your own energy you can try stopping the leakage, i find that kind of smoothing it all into a closed surface works, but how exactly you visualise that is very individual. if you don't have enough awareness of your energy, then you could ask your vamp to check for leaks and close them after feeding.

Both these replies grock with what experience I have. I've been able to close up holes on my own, and it only seems to be an issue when he does it from the wrist, and not from the neck. Thanks a lot for the advice.

Also, what can help is feeding from the major charkras, with my old donor she used to have poor energy flow from her wrists, but her neck was the best place, because she was sensitive there, and the energy could be accessed more easily. Everybody is different, it also depends how they feed, contact feeding is the second most gentle, apart from ambient and distance feeding, it may also be the fact that you are shielding and he may have to breach the shield to be able to begin to feed, and that could be a reason for the physical discomfort you have felt. You should let the wrist charkra's heal, he can assist by making thread of energy and laying it over the spot, kinda like a energy gause.

My advice--have him draw from a point midway between the solar plexus and sacral 'chakra' areas. Drawing directly from some energy centers is just plain uncomfortable, and can cause damage. I think you'll find the area I suggest to be a lot more comfortable.
